Jee Kim is a natural observer of trends and culture, Jee has an unerring eye for what drives the fashion market. She also has a unique ability to temper those trends with classic designs . Jee's upbringing motivated her to follow her dreams to New York City and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Four years at FIT brought Jee more opportunities then she could have dreamed, lending her positions at Gucci NY, Gucci Korea, Neiman Marcus, Williams Sonoma, and Banana Republic.
 
After 10 years working for other brands, Jee decided to take some time off and think about what side of the fashion world she wanted to focus on. While taking some time off and traveling through Europe and Asia, she was fascinated by how people moved things from one place to another. She noted the beauty found in the basic materials used, and in the raw functionality inherent in their natural design. Jee realized that there was a very serious need for bags that blended the functional and the stylish at accessible price points. She wanted to bring in some of the ideas she had seen, but do so in a way that portrayed a sense of style, without being overly fussy.
 
Thus, Jee's line of bags was born. She called it Peasants and Travelers to ensure it remained loyal to her inspiration – and would always carry that balance of functionality and style. Jee Kim offers refined, style friendly and functional options for today’s young, modern, working professionals with fashion sensibilities.
